Your first MUN or AMUNC? Read me!

Are you new to the model United Nations (MUN) experience? Fear not! A model UN conference, especially AMUNC, is easy to understand and to get involved in. Some preliminary information is listed below that will help you out.

The AMUNC website

There is a lot of useful information on this site. All of it is worth reading through, however there are some pages of particular note. Start off by finding out what a model UN is and what AMUNC is, then move onto read about how committees work. These three pages will give you a clear picture of what you will do at AMUNC.

Sign up to the website as soon as you can, this way you will receive notification all all major AMUNC developments. You can sign up to the website by using the New user account which is located in the Interact menu. Please note  that you need to sign up to the website before you can register for the conference.

Forums & Interaction

Like what you see? Keep looking through the rest of the site then head on over to the forums to find people from your university who also may be planning on attend. Also feel free to ask any question about AMUNC you may have here. Talk to your friends at your university or see if you have a UN society already set up. They are probably planning on sending a delegation, so get involved!

Registration

Decided that you are interested and want to attend? Then head on over to the registration page. Please note that you need to sign up to the website using the New user account before you can begin the conference registration process. Make sure you chose a committee and country that interests or challenges you! Please note that spaces are limited and that countries are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you have any question, send the Secretariat an email through the contact page or put a post on the forum, since it is likely that others will also share your question. We will be more than happy to help you out, and we look forward to your involvement.
