Delegate welfare & resources
South Australians are known for their hospitality and friendliness, and this will be a hallmark of AMUNC in Adelaide. All conference delegates can expect to enjoy a warm and welcoming atmosphere as we aim to make every delegate feel valued and respected.
In 2008, delegate welfare will take on a greater importance than in any previous AMUNC. To this end, delegates can expect an enhancement of their understanding of cultural issues and communication skills. We aim to build an environment where collaboration, communication and human relationships will flourish.
The Host Team will also attend to any need of the individual, whether that be dietary, mobility or otherwise. Participants will have the option to alert the team at time of registration online.
Additionally, various other services will be provided. These will include first aid staff and a delegate relations team, to ensure the welfare and safety of each person during the week. Other areas that will be the focus of the Host team include...
Delegate packs
All delegates will receive a great satchel containing conference handbook, Adelaide survival guide, maps and tourist information, discounts for city attractions and shops, and an array of other useful items.
Catering
The University’s canteen will be open during the conference, but South Australia’s finest food courts are just across the road from the University, including those in the Rundle Mall precinct.
IT resources
Delegates will have access to state of the art computer rooms during AMUNC, together with printer and internet quota for the week. Additionally, all rooms will also be equipped with wireless internet, through which working papers and resolutions will be submitted, as well as all the latest technologies, i.e. video/audio projectors, microphones, etc.
