Non-Governmental Organisation Program
Non- Governmental Organisations (NGOs) form an integral part of the international system. In some cases, they arguably play a role equal to that of a member-state. AMUNC 2008 will reflect this reality through the implementation of the NGO program.
The 2008 NGO program will enable a delegate to represent the interests of a particular organisation on any one Committee. The delegate may choose which NGO they wish to represent, and on which Committee they would like to sit. An NGO representative enjoys the same rights and responsibilities as a member-state, however they are not entitled to vote. NGOs are expected to conduct research and represent their Organisation in a similar way to a member-state.
Participation as an NGO is provided without fee, however allows participation in Committee sessions only. Attendance at other events will incur standard fees. NGOs will also not receive the full delegate pack.
To participate as an NGO, the delegate must complete the form attached here, and email it by 10am Sunday 6 July 2008 to contact@amunc.net. Delegates will be required to register on-campus on Sunday 6 July 2008 between 11am and 5pm.
Please note: Entrance to guest speakers and General Assembly will be by gold-coin donation. Participation in social events is welcome, however entrance fees apply. Please let us know if you and your friends would like to attend social events.
